Seminar: Towards Sustainable Societies – Health in All Policies and Social Determinants of Health as Building Blocks
📆   September 5th and 6th 2023
     📍   Tampere Hall, Tampere, Finland
The Global Network for Health in All Policies (GNHiAP) partnered with Tampere University to bring you a stimulating 2-day seminar in Tampere, Finland.
The seminar brought together insights on Health in All Policies (HiAP) and on the social and commercial determinants affecting health and equity. It addressed questions on how to enable HiAP approaches to advocate for equity and social policies to ensure sustainability and broader uptake of HiAP to address the social determinants of health.
During the event, researchers and practitioners also had the opportunity to showcase a poster presentation and share their work with a range of experts across the SDOH field! This poster session was an ideal space for presenting latest results or for introducing innovative work.
The event celebrated the launch of the Tampere University WHO Collaboration Centre on Health in All Policies and the Social Determinants of Health, and included a dedicated time for planning the GNHiAP next 2–3-year program of work.
Participation in the meeting was free, but participants needed to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
